Supplies:

1- 8x10 mainstay (Walmart) picture frame $2

1-4x6 (without the white border, it's a 6x8) mainstay (Walmart) picture frame $2

1- magnetic pencil pen holder from Walmart $3

1 pack of scotch velcro pieces (holds up to 3 lbs) $2

1- bin or metal envelope ( I got mine at hobby lobby) $4

1- menu board - If you don't have one, I have a free printable! *keep reading*

Let's get started,

1. Pick a spot

Pick an area of your home to have your command center- make sure it is an area you have to pass by all the time. This ensures that you will put your command center to good use and take action.

2. Declutter

Once you have selected an area ( I choose my fridge) start to take anything down from that area and start with a clean surface.

3. Supplies ( That fit your needs)

There is no need for fancy command center products from Pottery Barn- I mean they're pretty but they are not really affordable to the average family- I certainly, cannot afford, not even the cheapest thing from there! (major giggles!)

All I did to stay on a budget, was to buy some picture frames under $2 from Walmart. Now, you can get some picture frames for a $1 at Dollar Tree. However, the picture frames from the Dollar tree can be flimsy and I wanted something a little more sturdy because I have a wild little tot in the house- safety first. I made sure to secure the picture frames with some strong adhesive that holds up to 3 lbs of weight.

I already had a dry erasable calendar from the Dollar Tree, I added a pen cup magnetic holder to hold all of my pens and dry erase markers and my menu board. If you don't have a menu board, I created a free printable to use with a picture frame to create your own dry erase menu board.

I created a couple of printables to use inside of the picture frames to have a dry erase to do list and a cleaning checklist- you can grab these here (freebies tab).

Things may change as the year progresses but at least you have the basics to get productive and organized for this new year. I hope you got inspired and motivated to get your family / fridge command center organized.

Love these ideas! Do you still have the free printable for the cleaning checklist? I don't see it in the freebies tab
